At the heart of the Torrent DH is a robust 200mm travel aluminium frame, designed specifically around dual-crown forks and a 29"/27.5" mixed-wheel configuration. The size-specific geometry gives riders the confidence to push harder through corners, brake later and carry speed through rough sections.
Norco's VPS (Virtual Pivot Suspension) platform, based on a Horst Link layout, provides consistent suspension performance and traction while remaining simple and durable. The RockShox Vivid Air Base rear shock comes custom tuned for the Torrent DH, providing a straightforward setup while incorporating additional end-stroke ramping to help control harsh bottom-outs when you're landing deep or pushing big jumps.
For riders who prefer the feel of a coil shock, the frame is also coil-spring compatible, giving you the flexibility to tune the bike around your riding style and preferences.
Up front, the RockShox BoXXer Select D2 delivers 200mm of downhill-specific travel, while SRAM Maven Base brakes with metallic pads provide the stopping power required when speeds increase and the trail gets steeper.
Mixed-Wheel 29"/27.5" Setup
The Torrent DH uses a 29" front wheel and 27.5" rear wheel, combining the rollover ability and stability of a larger front wheel with the agility and manoeuvrability of a smaller rear wheel.
The wheelset is paired with a Maxxis Assegai 29 x 2.5" front tyre and Maxxis Minion DHR II 27.5 x 2.4" rear tyre, both using 3C MaxxGrip DH compounds for dependable grip on demanding downhill terrain.
