At the heart of the Gestalt XR is Marin’s Series 3 Beyond Road 6061 aluminium frame, designed with a tapered head tube, internal cable routing, flat-mount disc brakes and 142x12mm rear thru-axle. Multiple rack and mudguard mounts also make the Gestalt XR a highly versatile choice for bikepacking, commuting and all-day adventures.
Powering the bike is a SRAM Apex 1 12-speed drivetrain, featuring a 40T crankset and wide-ranging gearing designed to tackle steep climbs while still providing plenty of speed on faster gravel sections. SRAM Apex hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors deliver confident, controlled stopping performance in changing weather and challenging terrain.
The Gestalt XR’s off-road credentials are enhanced by a TranzX dropper seatpost, giving you the ability to quickly lower your saddle when descending technical trails or tackling rough singletrack. The wide, grippy Vee Tire Co. QuikStyk 700x45c tyres provide excellent traction and comfort, while the tubeless-compatible Marin aluminium wheelset allows riders to take advantage of lower tyre pressures for improved grip and control.
