Designed around Marin’s MultiTrac 2 LT suspension platform, the Alpine Trail XR AXS delivers 170mm of front travel and 160mm of rear travel, giving you the confidence to attack demanding descents while maintaining a balanced, controlled ride through technical terrain.
Series 4 Aluminium Frame & Adjustable Geometry
At the heart of the Alpine Trail XR AXS is Marin's new Series 4 6061 aluminium frame, engineered to handle aggressive trail and enduro riding. The frame features a mixed-wheel setup, combining a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear wheel for a blend of stability, rollover capability and agility.
The adjustable geometry allows you to tailor the bike to your riding style and local trails. The adjustable headset lets you alter the head tube angle, while the frame also allows changes to the bottom bracket height and chainstay length. Riders can even run a 29-inch rear wheel if preferred.
Integrated Bear Box downtube storage provides convenient on-bike storage for essential trail equipment, with a zipped nylon bag keeping your spares and tools organised. Full internal cable routing gives the bike a clean, modern appearance, while the 34.9mm seatpost standard provides additional strength and compatibility with modern long-travel dropper posts.
RockShox Ultimate Suspension
The XR AXS specification takes the Alpine Trail's suspension performance to another level.
Up front, a RockShox ZEB Ultimate fork provides a huge 170mm of travel, designed to absorb hard impacts and keep the front wheel tracking confidently through rock gardens, roots and steep descents.
At the rear, the RockShox Super Deluxe Coil Ultimate shock delivers 160mm of rear-wheel travel with a custom tune designed specifically for the Alpine Trail. The coil setup provides exceptional sensitivity and traction, helping the rear wheel stay planted when the trail becomes rough and technical.
Wireless SRAM GX Eagle AXS T-Type Drivetrain
The Alpine Trail XR AXS features a premium SRAM GX Eagle AXS T-Type 12-speed wireless drivetrain, giving you crisp, precise shifting without the need for traditional gear cables.
The wireless SRAM AXS POD MMX controller provides intuitive shifting from the handlebars, while the GX Eagle crankset and 32T chainring deliver a versatile gearing range for everything from technical climbs to fast descents.
Powerful SRAM Code Bronze Brakes
When you're riding an aggressive enduro bike, dependable braking is essential. The Alpine Trail XR AXS is equipped with SRAM Code Bronze four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, providing powerful and consistent stopping performance.
Large 200mm front and 180mm rear rotors help manage heat and maintain braking control during long, steep descents, giving you the confidence to brake later and ride harder.
Mixed-Wheel Maxxis Tyres
The Alpine Trail XR AXS rolls on a 29-inch front and 27.5-inch rear wheel combination, fitted with proven Maxxis Assegai tyres.
A 29 x 2.5-inch MaxxGrip EXO+ tyre up front provides impressive grip and confidence, while the 27.5 x 2.5-inch DoubleDown rear tyre offers additional durability for aggressive riding. Both wheelsets are tubeless compatible, allowing you to run lower pressures for increased traction and control.
