Built for Serious Enduro Riding
At the heart of the Alpine Trail XR is Marin's Series 4 6061 aluminium frame, featuring the MultiTrac LT suspension platform and a generous 160mm of rear travel. The frame has been designed around 29-inch wheels but is also compatible with a mixed-wheel setup, giving riders flexibility when it comes to their preferred configuration.
The adjustable frame geometry allows you to fine-tune the bike to suit your riding style and terrain, with an adjustable head angle, chainstay length and bottom bracket height. Full internal cable routing keeps the frame clean and protected, while integrated downtube storage gives you somewhere convenient to carry essential trail tools and spares.
Marin has also included UDH compatibility, Boost hub spacing, ISCG05 chain guide tabs and dedicated chainstay-mounted protection to keep the bike quiet and protected when you're riding aggressively.
RockShox ZEB Ultimate & Vivid Air Ultimate
The suspension package is where the Alpine Trail XR really comes alive.
Up front, the RockShox ZEB Ultimate delivers a huge 170mm of travel, providing the stiffness and control required for steep, technical and high-speed terrain. At the rear, a RockShox Vivid Air Ultimate shock with a custom tune controls the bike's 160mm MultiTrac LT suspension platform.
Together, these premium suspension components deliver exceptional small-bump sensitivity, composure through rock gardens and the support needed when pushing hard into corners, jumps and compressions.
Shimano Deore Di2 12-Speed
Shifting duties are handled by a Shimano Deore Di2 12-speed wireless electronic drivetrain, giving the Alpine Trail XR fast, precise and reliable gear changes at the touch of a button.
The 12-speed cassette provides a huge 10-51T range, paired with a RaceFace Affect 32T crankset, giving you the low gearing required for long, steep climbs without compromising the bike's descending credentials.
SRAM Maven Silver 4-Piston Brakes
When you're carrying serious speed, powerful braking is essential. The Alpine Trail XR XR is equipped with SRAM Maven Silver four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, delivering huge stopping power and excellent modulation.
With a 200mm front rotor and 200mm rear rotor, the braking system is built to handle prolonged, steep descents and aggressive enduro riding.
DT Swiss Wheels & Schwalbe Tyres
The Alpine Trail XR is equipped with dependable DT Swiss 370 Classic hubs and DT Swiss M502 rims, featuring a 30mm internal rim width for a strong, modern trail wheelset.
The tyre combination is purpose-built for aggressive riding:
